In recent years, low-lying Bangladesh located in the Delta region is heavily impacted by the effects of climate change and has become one of the worst victim in the world. Several main rivers are often flooded and deposited seriously, which not only floods vast ground and causes great loss of life and property and also influences navigation capacity largely and greatly reduces port capacity. Now Bangladesh government is aware of that dredging all main rivers and canals is one of the main method of adapting to climate change. By dredging of canal, the river flow can extend as the natural flow direction and excavating riverbed can increase water storage of river and the dredged mud can be used to reinforce the embankment. These methods can control river flood and reduce damage of flood.
